amoung our youth

You can easily buy food
there is food to eat
but none is being eaten
blood drips down the bodies
of millions everywhere
but not from wounds inflicted by guns
or physical fighting
but blades, razors
emotional and mental fighting
countries are not on each side
families are
children against parents
siblings against siblings

sometimes,
the bottle gets too full
there is no place for your feelings
they can not be bottled up anymore
that is when
you find another place for them
even if it hurts
just like
blood belongs on a rag
any place but in you
anything that you consume
and that could prevent you
from being a pound lighter
belongs in the toilet
any place but in you

millions fall into this struggle with depression and war with families or self image everyday. I'm still trying to get out. If I do, I'll try to help others.
